Gun Ghaol are the world’s only Scottish Gaelic metalcore band.
Started in 2023 by vocalist Colin Stone as a one-man social media project, the band expanded to a four-piece in 2025 due to a growing online fanbase.
Gun Ghaol is Colin (vocals), Paul Martin (guitar), Finlay Cable (bass), and Stuart Bradley (drums).
MUSICAL history
Working with Scottish producer Kieran Smith, Gun Ghaol are set to release their first EP, Sgrios, in August 2025.

Gun Ghaol’s first ever song was Bha Thu Ceàrr, which was released in late 2023.
Leum, the 10-track debut album, arrived in October 2024.
Another standalone single - DEISEIL - came out in April 2025.

Colin spent much of his formative years on the Isle of Lewis, one of the heartlands of the Gaelic language. It’s where half his family is from, and it’s a language he communicates and works in.
Combining his love of metalcore with his heritage, Gun Ghaol was born. -
It translates to ‘Without Love’.
