Days away from their first festival appearance at this year’s Belladrum, Gun Ghaol have announced their next stop.

The Gaelic metalcore four-piece will feature in this year’s Dorn san Aer Festival, taking place in Gaoth Dobhair, Donegal.

The three-day event celebrates the life of renowned Irish broadcaster Rónán Mac Aodha Bhuí, who died in 2023.

Organisers started the weekend festival in 2024 to help commemorate Rónán’s work in promoting and celebrating the Irish language.

Speaking about Gun Ghaol being part of Dorn san Aer, Colin said:

“Tha e na urram dhuinn cluich aig Dorn San Aer am-bliadhna. Tha am fèis a’ comharrachadh na Gàidhlig anns a h-uile cruth - agus tha sinn air leth toilichte ar ceòl Gàidhlig a thoirt gu daoine ann an Gaobh Dobhair.

Tha fios a’m dè an ìre de bhuaidh a bh’ aig Ronan. Tha e cho math tachartas mar seo fhaicinn a’ tachairt na ainm.
