Gun Ghaol play first overseas show at Dorn San Aer

Hot off the heels from Gun Ghaol’s debut festival appearance at Belladrum in August, the world’s only Gaelic metalcore band have followed up with their first international show.

Dorn San Aer - an annual festival held in County Donegal - ran from September 26-28, with Gun Ghaol headlining Saturday’s second stage.

Speaking about the show, vocalist Colin said:

Playing Dorn San Aer was a genuine pleasure. We were honoured to have been asked, and the show was a riot.

The language of the festival being Gaeilge - and in our case, Gàidhlig - was so refreshing. I had a lot of fun speaking to everyone from the stage entirely in the language of our home.

We’d love to be invited back again to mosh with our Celtic brothers & sisters once more.

Nuair a ràinig sinn, cha robh sinn cinnteach mun chuirm-chiùil. Bha Stiùbhart tinn, is bha na còmhlain eile gu math eadar-dhealaichte bhuainn.

Cha robh feum againn dragh a ghabhail. Bha uimhir de spòrs againn, agus tha sinn airson tilleadh a dh’Èirinn.
